We have taken the steps to go ahead and rebuild out website on a different platform. We are going to start using the enjin.com hosting service for our site.
This will have some notable benefits. Improved speed and administration qualities. As well as a rather slick app setup that will automatically grant access for users to the proper forums once you are accepted. (no more begging me for forum access).
It does have a few downsides though.
First we can not transfer users from our current platform over to enjin. Effectively everyone must reregister for the website. If you are a member of WoT, I'd like you guys to register and then fill out an application. No need to be detailed, just put in your name and email address. All other fields can have NA in them if you like. But the fields must have an entry. Our officers will be watching for all apps and approve as soon as they see them so you get instant forums access.
Second we cannot transfer content (posts) over to enjin. So if there is data on the existing forums that we need to access, we'll need to come back here to get it. Hel0 I believe is going to keep this up and running for us for some time. Thanks Hel0!
Currently we have not switched over the DNS entry to point to the new site. So you'll need to use this address for the new site. We'll work on transfering the DNS entry in the next week or so I hope.
